• 3/4 cup(s) shortening • 1 cup(s) sugar • 1 medium egg(s), beaten lightly • 4 tbsp molasses • 1/2 tsp salt • 2 tsp baking soda • 1 tsp ginger • 1 tsp cloves • 2 cup(s) flour
|  | 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs until smooth.
2. Add remaining ingredients and mix.
3. Form into walnut-sized balls and roll them in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Allow room for cookie to spread. Bake for 8-10 minutes, being careful not to overbake. |
